Dubai Metro Gold Line
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid approved the Gold Line on 22 April 2026. The approximately AED 34 billion project is planned as a 42 km, 18-station fully underground metro line.
Planned route
RTA says the Gold Line will start in Al Ghubaiba and pass through Mina Rashid, City Walk, Business Bay, Mohammed Bin Rashid City, Nad Al Sheba, Mohammed bin Rashid Gardens, Meydan, Al Barsha South and Jumeirah Village Circle before reaching Jumeirah Golf Estates.
Metro and Etihad Rail interchanges
The line is planned to connect with the Red Line at Business Bay and Jumeirah Golf Estates, with the Green Line at Al Ghubaiba, and with Etihad Rail at Meydan and Jumeirah Golf Estates.
Project timeline
The project is scheduled for tender issuance in 2026, contract award in 2027 and inauguration on 9 September 2032. These are future project targets.
